As she listened to the judge sentence her yesterday she sobbed tears that actually made one feel sorry for her. In truth, I do feel sorry for her. No matter what she has done, her life has not been a good one. Oh sure she has had plenty of money, all of her needs met financially, all the media attention anyone could ever want, but when you look in her eye, does she look happy? Does she have that spark in her eyes that says “I love Life.” I think I mostly feel sorry for her because I understand her. Many psychologists will tell you that your outer appearance is an inner reflection of how you feel about yourself, or the way you react to the world is a reflection of how you feel about yourself in this world. Now stop for a second and give yourself a few bad days. Everyone has them. However, a few bad months, and a series of bad decisions, then we might have a problem.
Lindsay is a beautiful girl, yet on her nails she had F-U embedded into her middle nail. Did she think that no one would pick up on that? They did. How embarrassing! If anyone felt sorry for her, she lost the public opinion of pity with that fingernail. She has a priviledged life. She can hire a driver. I have never figured out why she drove at all- even once, but after crashing once you would think she would have come up with another plan. However, she didn’t, almost like she didn’t want to, like she did not care. She was totally giving out a vibe of one who has decided that nothing in this world matters. She can do what she wants and who cares what happens to her. Then of course, when the judge rules, does she really care? Did reality strike yesterday? What is the point of jail for her? Punishment I guess, but how about a course in I am a woman who is beautiful and loved and deserves to be loved and not used by everyone who knows me? Honestly, I think that is the problem. We all do it- well many of us do it, it is just that only a few of us are famous. THe rest of us are not going to be on the news for losing 15 pounds, or dating this person or that person.
I guess my thoughts on this are before judging Lindsay, lets take a look at ourselves, and maybe we can help ourselves. Start with one, you , and then start helping another. As women, let’s teach each other to love ourselves and stand up and take care of each other. And Lindsay, save your life or don’t. It is your choice. Just know that ou were not put on this earth to hang out in prison. choose a different path.
