We travel first of all to the Great Barrier Reef
Qualia Resort a luxury resort on Hamilton Island in the Whitsunday Islands on the Great Barrier Reef is rated by those in the know as the most outstanding and beautiful resort in that part of the world. There are 60 hillside pavilions sitting in 30 acres with 26 of them to the windward side having their own very large plunge pools, the leeward rooms having large decks. You’ll be met from the airport with champagne, and the welcome continues in the resort with phenomenal service. The rooms for once are bigger than the brochure photographs, and very private as well, making Qualia a very good honeymoon choice, but possibly not for families with children. The food here is excellent at breakfast but possibly not quite as good at dinner, but still delicious. You will be supplied with your own buggy to get around the resort. The vast majority of guests are of the opinion that this is a fantastic resort and beautifully positioned to explore the Great Barrier Reef.
The Dominican Republic is where you will find the second of our vacation resorts
Tortuga Bay Punta Cana is on its own private beach on the eastern side of the Dominican Republic facing onto the turquoise Caribbean Sea. Ranked in the top three hotels here, but thought by many to be the best, there are 30 accommodation units split into 17 junior suites and 13 two bedroom suites, and fifteen 1 – 4 bedroom villas .This resort offers everything you need for a wonderful vacation, commencing with the VIP meet and greet at the airport, and the service continues as excellently as it starts. If you want just total relaxation with a first class service then you have come to the right place. The beach is beautiful, and accommodation large, and comfortable. The villas with up to four bedrooms are ideal for a family vacation. Eating inside the resort is good, but equally a walk into the Punta Cana resort area lets you eat at a large variety of other high quality restaurants. You can play golf, swim in the fresh water lagoon, and do as little or as much as you want. It would be equally as good for a honeymoon as a family vacation.
The Sinai Peninsula in Egypt is out third destination
You will find the Hyatt Regency at Taba Heights which is at the nothern end of the Sinai Peninsula with a mountainous backdrop on one side and the Red Sea on the other. Always uncrowded even when full this 429 room resort is designed like a Nubian village, and is well spread out along the shore. It may appear to be in the desert, the well watered lush grounds are like an oasis, and the private beach and pier allows you to use the supplied snorkelling equipment to see the muticoloured fish on the house reef. Taba Heights has several resorts so you can eat around the complex, but don’t ignore the half board option, and the breakfasts are not to be missed.For cheaper nibbles and drinks there is a supermarket. You will find some of the biggest bathtubs fir for a large family in some of the rooms, they are wonderful. You will be very comfortable here, and the hotel is the perfect base to explore a really fascinating part of the world.. If you want to escape the snows of winter, then Taba is near enough for a few days away.
